Manda Bay

The exclusive resort of Manda Bay is situated on the north west tip of unspoilt idyllic Manda Island in the Lamu archipelago.  It is surrounded by miles of palm fringed soft white sand, lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.  It is a perfect retreat for families, couples or honeymooners.

Relax and unwind in 12 comfortable cottages, 5 with double beds and 7 with twin beds, constructed with local materials and a palm thatch roof, and stylishly furnished. Each has a well appointed en-suite bathroom, and large private veranda with day bed overlooking the Indian Ocean.

There is a central dining area and separate bar/sitting area, set on the waterfront overlooking the bay, all furnished with locally crafted Lamu furniture.

Freshly caught tuna, mangrove crab and prawns are a speciality, and there are romantic candlelit dinners under the stars, either on the beach or on your cottage veranda.
